Dr. Ramsis F. Ghaly is a board certified neurosurgeon and clinical professor based in Aurora, IL, with more than 30 years of experience treating conditions of the brain, spine, and peripheral nerves. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgeons, with additional board certification in neuro-intensive critical care, anesthesiology, and pain management, and he is a Diplomate in Neurocritical Care through UCNS.

Dr. Ghaly’s approach centers on giving patients a clear, honest understanding of their condition before recommending a path forward. He reviews imaging and history in detail, explains all reasonable treatment options including nonsurgical ones, and only recommends surgery when it is the right choice for the patient in front of him.

He has served on the medical staff at Cook County Hospital and Central DuPage Hospital, and he is a published author and clinical professor who continues to teach and mentor within the field of neurosurgery.
